
Corners and Lacing Construction Techniques
Workshop Description:
Rita will show you how to finish your embroidered pieces in a professional way. She will teach a selection of useful techniques to complete your embroidery, by mounting it, hemming, or framing.

What to bring:
Usual sewing box
Fabric cutting scissors
Pins, glass headed.
Notebook and pencil
If you wish to lace a piece of your embroidery for framing, bring a suitable size backing card or foam core for your frame, plus thin pillow wadding. Embroidery must be 5cm larger than the card all round.
Kit Fee: $12.00
(Please have money in a sealed envelope with your name, and give to the tutor on the morning of the workshop)
Included in Kit:
Instruction sheets
Pieces card/foam core, square, oval, irregular.
Fabric for covering, plus thread for lacing.
2 pieces Fabric for mitred corners, perle thread for hemstitching.
Cancellation Policy:
If a workshop is cancelled by the Guild or the Tutor, a full refund of any fees paid will be made.
If a participant withdraws after the registration date, no refund will be given unless there are extenuating circumstances.
