Coptic Stitch Book Binding
This workshop will take you through the process of creating a handmade book using the Coptic Stitch binding method. The class is particularly for students who participated in the “View from Venice” canvaswork class in April/May 2022, however it is also suitable for any students who would like to learn how to create a beautiful handmade book with a fabric cover.
Students who have completed the “View from Venice” embroidery will be making either an A4 sized journal or a 21cm square journal. If you didn’t do that class, you can work a smaller A5 journal instead. You don’t even need a piece of embroidery. You can simply use some fabric or decorative paper to cover the front and back covers.
