Flowers of the Month
Flowers of the Month
A beautiful panel of Western Australian wildflowers originally painted by our own Beverley Hewitt and translated into an embroidered piece by Joan Sibenalar.
This piece won First Prize in the Western Australian Wildflower section at the Royal Show this year.
Come and enjoy stitching one of the flowers each month under Joan's guidance.
These workshops are suitable for beginners and Joan will teach some of the basic stitches that you will use in many of your future projects including Stem Stitch, Long and Short (or longer!), French knots, Satin Stitch, Chain Stitch and Turkey Knot stitch to name a few..
All combine to produce a beautiful panel of floral emblems, typically Western Australian.
