Start Stitching…. For Beginners
Start Stitching...
The Guild is holding two workshops this year to ascertain the popularity of learning basic stitching techniques for beginners.
These workshops are hoped to be a stepping stone for participants to continue to develop the art and love of embroidery, while enjoying the journey. This leads to the possibility of creating many beautiful items with the help and guidance from experienced embroidery teachers.
Next year we will extend our Guild's outreach into the wider community and would like to offer this pilot program for our members and their friends. The cost of these two sessions will be subsidised by the guild with the help of our volunteer teachers.
We have developed complete beginners kits that contain all of the essentials to start stitching. We will show our students how to access many helpful resources from our guild and refer them to professional embroidery websites.
