In this Block of the Month series, a variety of stiches commonly used in 17th century embroidery will be explored. Each lesson will build on skills learnt in previous lessons and is designed for all levels of embroiderers. The finished size of the sampler will be 20.5cm x 38cm. It will be personalised with your name and date of completion.
While the project takes the form of a 17th century band sampler, the use of these stitches in other formats will be discussed.
