We are delighted to welcome Anna Scott from South Australia again to Perth. Anna is well known to the stitching community in Australia and worldwide for her lovely designs and projects.
Anna will demonstrate some methods of selecting a pleasing palette of colours for your personal embroidery projects. This will be shown in a practical way, allowing you to become more comfortable in the selection of colours for your embroidery.
Various methods of choosing colours will be discussed and practised, helping you apply your own ideas and colour variations to existing patterns.
"We will talk about basic colour theory and approaches to choosing colours that will help make choices less daunting.
For the workshop, we will be working with a small crewel work design. However, we will discuss the principles and suggestions that can easily be applied to all types of surface embroidery."
Anna will provide a design pre-printed onto linen and a guide to stitches used to create the design so that you can focus
on colour choices.
This class is all about creating, and it is always fun to see the results when no two projects look the same at the end
of the workshop.
Participants should be comfortable with common embroidery stitches but experience in crewel work is not essential.

However, there will be an opportunity for you to purchase wool from Stitchers Corner if needed.
• 20cm (8” embroidery hoop, with the inner ring bound)
• General embroidery kit
• HB and colour pencils – you don't need a large set, but 24 colours are good.
