AGM Guest Speaker Susie Vickery
Do not miss this wonderful opportunity to meet Susie Vickery and hear of her extensive world travels and the inspiration behind her creation of the French Citizen Botanist who travelled to Western Australia in the 1800's.
He is now revisiting us here at Guild House with Susie, to tell of some of his adventures and some of the experiences he had while visiting this ancient land so many years ago. He collected and sketched many of the Western Australian flowers and plants that we recognise today.
Susie has fitted him out with some lovely embroidered hand-stitched clothing as well as found him some comfortable new shoes and great hats to shield him from the sun.
Come and see and hear for yourself all the marvellous stories that surround this Citizen Botanist.
We are fortunate that Susie will show in detail some of her textiles and embroidery creations and will talk to us before our AGM this year.
Come and join us at 11am on Saturday 5th October, and stay on to be present at the AGM at 1pm to hear about what we have achieved in 2024 and some of our plans for 2025.
