SILVER AND COPPER KNOT GARDENS
We are so pleased to present the second and third of Tania's beautiful tryptic designs in a series of workshops over FIVE months from May to September in 2025. This 'Block of the Month' series of workshops will be taught over five full-day workshops, one month apart, at Guild House.
SILVER KNOT GARDEN
This is the second in a series of three designs inspired by the beautiful English Knot Garden. The triptych consists of a Gold, a Silver and a Copper Knot Garden.
The Silver Knot Garden features a central courtyard of gorgeous crystal flowers, and delicately shaded flower beds of green and silver chipping. The flower beds boast bluebell trios with mottled silver-grey leather corners, and nestled between the inner courtyard and the flower beds are cute little spangled buds. A scattering of silver beads and spangles, beautifully embellished this luxurious little piece of goldwork.
You will be learning goldwork techniques such chipping, laying cord, beading, leather work and wire work. Using lovely silk threads, beautiful silver wires, cords and threads, you will create this lovely little Silver Knot Garden measuring 9,5 x 9,5 cm.
The cost for the kit is $165, and will include all the fabric, silk and other threads, felt, leather, beads and all goldwork supplies needed to complete this project.
Suitable for intermediate and up (or anyone keen enough to start learning goldwork)
COPPER KNOT GARDEN
The Copper Knot Garden is the third in the series of three designs inspired by the beautiful English Knot Garden.
The Copper Garden features a stunning central crystal, surrounded by four gleaming copper petals, and cute little buds and leaves. Nestled in each scalloped corner flower bed are delicately shaded tulip trios, and a scattering of little beads. Copper chipping, cording and little watermelon beads adorn the stepping stones between the flower beds, and copper doughnut beads further embellish this luxurious little piece of goldwork.
You will be learning goldwork techniques such chipping, laying cord, beading, leather work and wire work. Using lovely silk threads, beautiful copper wires, cords and threads, you will create this lovely little Copper Knot Garden measuring 9 x 9cm.
The cost for the kit is $148, and will include all the fabric, silk and other threads, felt, leather, beads and all goldwork supplies needed to complete this project.
Suitable for intermediate and up (or anyone keen enough to start learning goldwork)
