This workshop will take you through the process of creating handmade books using a variety of hand stitching methods.
The workshop will focus on creating interesting stitched patterns on the book spine as an integral part of the binding process. There will be plenty of opportunity for you to express your own creative style through cover, paper, and stitch choices.
Perhaps you already have some embroidery, textiles, art work, etc. that would make an ideal cover. Or maybe you have a stash of specialty paper that would be ideal to use as the pages of your own handmade book.
