‘Would you like to draw, design and print your own embroidery designs?’
This workshop is an introduction to the use of a Sketch Book App that is freely available on digital devices.
It helps non-artists to create designs that can easily be transferred to fabric. The designs can be printed out and transferred to the fabric by the usual methods used in embroidery or printed onto the fabric at home using an ink jet printer.
Allison will take you through the beginning steps to familiarise yourself with the app to make this design process easier.
A demonstration will also be given on how to print the design onto the fabric using an inkjet printer.
Come along and bring your tablet and stylus, and in a hands-on way, learn how it is done. The produced designs can then be printed onto an A4 sized piece of good quality quilters muslin, ready to be embroidered by you.
