JETS

Junior Embroidery and Textile Students

Come and see how much fun stitching and creating can be!

Join us this July school holidays and learn something different.

Two creative and fun-filled mornings for students between the ages of 8 and 14years.

Come and learn how attractive a plain piece of material will become with the addition of some simple stitches.

There is something new every time. We have made lovely party masks, purses, and played with Canvas and Felt, experimenting with stitches and colours.

Start Stitching - Tipsy Tea Cups Alfred Cove
The motif of delicate, mismatched floral porcelain tea cups and saucers mimics mid-20th century tea sets. Traditional linework embroidery evokes a nostalgic, home-made charm. The combination of soft pastel blues, pinks and yellows is consistent with colour schemes of the 1950’s and 1960’s kitchenware. Each tea cup is stitched in a different embroidery stitch and shade of brown. The delicate floral patterns are worked in mismatch shades of colour with small metallic embellishment. ...
