Founder's Challenge 2023 - Intimate Landscapes
15th February 2023

Have you been working on your 2023 Founder’s Challenge? It’s such an interesting theme with so much scope for interpretation. We can’t wait to see what your creative juices collectively produce!
Remember, an intimate landscape focusses on smaller, often unnoticed details rather than a wider scenic view.
There are a few simple rules for you to follow:
• Techniques allowed are hand embroidery, machine embroidery, beading, or lace.
• Your work could take any form – purse, jewellery, vessel, etc, but finished work must fit in a 20cm cube with a stand for display if needed.
• Work must have been completed in the last 12 months, be original and not from a workshop or kit.
Entries will be displayed at the Annual Lunch in July 2023 and will be voted on by the attendees for Best Entry and Best First Time Entry. Following the lunch, entries will be on display at Guild House for approximately one month. The prizes are Guild vouchers valued at $100 for Best Entry and $50 for Best First Time Entrant.
Exact details on timing, delivery, and entry forms will be in the next issue of The Embroiderer. For now, put those thinking caps on and start stitching!
