Annual General Meeting - Saturday, October 7

*** Members Only Event *** An invitation is extended to all members to attend the Annual General Meeting of the Embroiderers' Guild of WA, to be held on 7th October, at 1pm at Guild House, 565 Canning Highway, Alfred Cove. Preceding the AGM, our guest speaker Textile Artist and Guild Tutor, Tania Cohen, will speak at 11am, and share her own design process. Come along to hear Tania speak, as well as catch up with fellow members at the AGM at 1pm. See you there! |

Guild Historic Collection - New Acquisition

A stunning new acquisition for the Guild’s Historical Textile Collection. From the 1880s-1890s a pale green silk satin cape with embroidered panels at front, collar and back, of goldwork including purls and sequins. Lined with red and pink. The embroidery may have been produced in India to suit Western market. Beautiful! |

Exciting news! A new group starting in Leederville

The Loftus Street Stitchers' will meet in the Neighbourhood Room from 11.00am to 2.00pm. Valerie Cavill Receives History Award

At the 2022 History Council of WA Awards, held on 25th October, Valerie Cavill, Leader of the Guild’s Historical Textile Collection Group, was given the award in the highest category for people making a significant contribution to the history of Western Australia by an individual. |
