Pink Array Crewelwork panel

Our Tutor, Di Kirchner, is a well known embroiderer from the Eastern States who has kindly agreed to conduct two workshops for us.  The first is a Crewel work Panel stitched on Linen Twill using Appleton Crewel Wools in the traditional Jacobean style of Embroidery.

In this class you will learn many surface stitches and traditional techniques.  

The design will be printed on to the fabric for you, ready to start stitching. 

Beginners welcome!

Kit Includes:

Printed linen twill panel,

17 Skeins Appletons Crewelwool threads

Needles

Instruction notes.

Kit Cost: $95.00

(to be paid to the tutor directly on the first day of the workshop)

 

Student Requirements:

* a slate frame with the tape no smaller than 40cm or an 8” or 10” hoop with the inner hoop bound with bias tape. The printed linen panel is 40cm x 50cm.

* general sewing kit

* magnifying light if needed
